Type: Kitchen and Master Bathroom Remodel
Already a stunning mid-century home in Los Feliz, the kitchen and master bathroom needed updating for new homeowners in a clean modern style that reflected the home’s roots while freshening the day to day living situation. A wall separating the kitchen from the dining room was replaced with a beam to open the spaces to each other, and skylights were added to further lighten the space. All kitchen interiors were replaced with fresh clean birch millwork, while maintaining original steel windows.
In the master bathroom, a separate shower was established next to the deep soaking tub, and a skylight and clerestory window were introduced above to let daylight pour into a now larger total bathroom. The hallway entrance was closed up to create the shower area, and a new entry was created from the bedroom through the walk-through closet.
A guest bathroom also received a makeover with new everything and another new clerestory window.
